I think "True Detective" is a masterpiece! One of the best TV series in the world! I'm not kidding, it's amazing.
Every episode will make you thirsty for the next one and before you realise, you've gone through all of the episodes and can't wait for the second season to start.
It's very dark and full of mysteries, it's obscene, it's violent, it's also funny. It's perfect! I think "True Detective" has ruined every other TV series for me. I keep comparing them to this and of course nothing can beat "True Detective". I hope the second season will be as great as the first season!
Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are unbelievably talented actors and they are a perfect dysfunctional couple. They share a great chemistry together and it's amazing to watch them bring their crazy characters into life.
If you still haven't watched "True Detective" I think you should do it right away. You will fall in love with the story and characters after the first episode and that's a promise!

I have never seen anything quite like True Detective. The first season with Matthew Mcconaughey and Woody Harrelson was something extraordinary and genius. It was clear from the start that no matter how good the second season turns out, nothing can top season one. If not for the phenomenal performances, brilliant writing and undeniable chemistry between Matthew Mcconaughey and Woody Harrelson, then for the first impression alone.

Season two is good. It's great even. It's similar to the first season in many aspects, but then again is completely different. I think they have stayed true to showing the main characters in what they really are. And of course how screwed up they all are. The relationships between the characters are interesting to watch. It's like they dislike, distrust and like and trust each other at the same time.

There is still a few episodes left of season 2 but I doubt it will disappoint. The trick is to take it as it is, nothing can beat season 1 and I'm glad they didn't try to make a cheap copy of it but stayed true to their original writing.
